Have you ever been sentenced to the wearing of The Green Shoes?
Sunday Services: 10:30 AM
505 South Sixth St. Burbank, CA

FaithView, For Storm Riders:
“So that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting, men may know there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is no other.”—Isaiah 45:6
This places perfectly with the alpha-omega (the first and the last) comments we see later in the New Testament. He’s the beginning and the end; anything/anyone/anybody claiming equal footing is a liar.
Now, are there other spiritual beings? Absolutely. There’s an infinite number of truckloads we don’t get and will never understand, but this Scripture makes clear that there isn’t anyone else like the Lord.
When looking for the remedies and answers to life, we need to focus on the truth of the Scriptures. Because there will always be someone out there offering other options. There will always be attractive/charismatic people, appearing virtuous, offering us something beyond the Scripture. We will always have others directing us to take a different path.
But, for us, there is only one Lord…One Christ…Only one who has resurrected from the dead…Only one whose blood can redeem.
Our God is larger than cancer; he’s larger than terrorism, he’s larger than the economy, and also—this might trouble some—he’s larger than the federal government. He’s larger than the denomination. He’s larger than the wisdom of man. He’s larger than the culture.
He’s larger than any fear we might have.
It is elementary to say it…but victorious to live it…Our God—the creator of the universe—loves us, and there is no other.
Boom!

Erin Dally Posnor & her son.
Today is Erin Dally Ponsor’s birthday. Erin is the daughter of former Burbank Faith Pastor, John Dally. She grew up at Faith Church and currently lives in Colorado. The work of the Dally family from 1988 thru 2000 is a huge reason why our church is here today. Wish Erin a great birthday.
