FaithView, For Storm Riders:
“So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since are a son, God has made you also an heir.”—Galatians 4:7

Timing, Timing, Timing…

It’s not when you come to God that matters as much as you coming to God. That’s the big one. That’s the game changer. Coming to God is not like buying property in Burbank fifty years ago compared to buying property now. You can get the property now, but you’re not getting as good a deal as the dude in 1967 did.

No matter when you come to God (always better, sooner than later) you get the best deal. Forgiveness of sins, eternal life, full-fledged membership in the family of God…These provisions are always part of the agreement…they never expire.

And it’s not sold in stores…But from the convenience of your home—or wherever you may be—the transaction is made and completed by your repentance and confession of faith. No hoops to jump through, no ridiculous outer acts of piety and sanctimony to demonstrate to man. Just God and you make this happen, and you will no longer be a slave to sin but a son of God.

It’s never too late…If you have guilt, it proves you haven’t gone too far…life is always there. Life in full…

So if your grandparents came to Christ fifty years ago, they’ve no doubt accrued more worldly wisdom and spiritual insight than you…but they have not accrued more of God’s love than you. He loves them…He loves you. He loves Billy Graham…He loves you. He loves the leaders of the church who have served him all of their lives…and He loves you.

Tell me, how can this not be the most comforting thought of the day?

Boom!

Congrats to The Bulldogs:
The best season of basketball, ever, in the history of Burbank High School came to an end last Friday night when the Bulldogs fell to Brentwood, 55-54 in overtime. The back and forth contest ended when the Eagles Braelee Albert connected on a three-pointer at the buzzer.

Still, we continue to say; Go Bank!
