Scripture For The Day:
“You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”—2 Corinthians 3:3

A letter from Christ…Think about that…We are letters from Christ—the result of his work in our lives and heart—for the world to read. When you think of the numbers of people just in the United States that identify as Christians that tallies up to a lot of correspondence from the Lord.

This means along with the scripture…the letter—our testimony—is speaking to the world about the death and resurrection of our Lord. Awesome.

But have you ever considered what might be in the body of your letter? Have you ever considered what others are learning about Christ from reading you? Are they learning fear? Churchianity? Anger? Bitterness? …All of these things that shouldn’t be the testimony of Christ’s church but we know are out there…

Here’s something else to think about in regards to being a letter from Christ…This letter is not written—as the scripture above shares—with ink but on our hearts. The reason the earth—country—is not a paradise or a much better place is because eighty-percent of those who identify as believers have something other than the joy of the death, resurrection and salvation found in Jesus Christ written on their hearts…

So ask yourself, what is in the body of your letter? What are you putting out for the world to see? Don’t get caught up in the injustices done to you, how your job has been cruel to you, how your family has failed you, how the government has forgotten you or how the church has persecuted you…

What is in the body of your letter?

Boom!
