Scripture For The Day:
“So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law, but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!”—Romans 7:21-25

It is normal to struggle and have battle. Far too often we present to each other nothing but victory…but having victory means you have to go through battle. You have to go through periods where much is contested. We will have victory, victory is always there for us to take but the scripture above highlights the struggle.

Don’t feel ashamed. We all have this battle. The important thing to remember is to not seek a path that leads us away from the Lord, away from the truth of scripture (I didn’t say the truth of the Pastor)…just to feel better about ourselves. A half-gospel or a full dive into the power of positive thinking won’t work…Our hope, our joy, our salvation, our victory is all found in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Do you have a favorite line or verse from a Hymn? If you do, let us know here.

Pastor Bill is currently under the weather with the flu…So keep Diane in prayer. The church does not need to be reminded about all that Diane Leone does for it. But while she does much for the church and is now in tax season at work…she takes very good care of her family.

When you see her, thank her. If you’re not going to see her soon…drop her a line of gratitude.
